Program Description:
Potomac Hospital now offers Smoke Stoppers, a highly successful self-guided smoking cessation program.  Smoke Stoppers uses a variety of up to date techniques and tools to help the smoker reach his/her goal of becoming a non-smoker. These techniques include: positive and negative reinforcement, a special relaxation program on CD ROM and  nutrition tips to avoid weight gain while quitting.  Smoke Stoppers endorses the use of nicotine replacement therapy as an adjunct to the Smoke Stoppers program, and encourages the prospective non smoker to use a "coach approach" while quitting.  Fee: $75.00  Includes all materials and a one on one introductory counseling session.

Program Services: Face-to-face counseling and materials.

Program site is wheelchair accessible and accessible by public transportation.  Services are available to cigarette smokers.
