Program Descriptions:

Smokefree College Campus Resource Guide:
"Tobacco Use Reduction Guide for Colleges and Universities" produced by VCU and available, while supplies last, to help other colleges implement school-based media campaigns and cessation strategies (to prevent/reduce tobacco use).

Cessation Services:
Face-to-face, group and telephone counseling, supervised medication support (nicotine replacement or Zyban), web-based support and relapse prevention counseling (for recent quitters).

Program site is wheelchair accessible and accessible by public transportation.  Services available to VCU students only (smokers/smokeless tobacco users).

Program Description:
This private program offers 5 consecutive days of preparation for quitting.  Sessions are held for 2 hours a day, Monday through Friday, and clients then have access to a 24-hour live hotline.  The program includes aversion strategies, hypnosis, weight control, vitamins for withdrawal prevention, stress management, re-education, and videos.  It is facilitated by a certified hypnotherapist, massage therapist and Reiki Master.

Program Services:
Small group counseling, telephone counseling, and hypnosis with cognitive/behavioral counseling.
Services are available for cigarette, cigar and pipe smokers and smokeless tobacco users.  Languages: English
