Nicotine Anonymous Meeting

This is a 12-Step support group for anyone with a desire to stop using tobacco.  There are no dues or fees.  Meetings are one-hour long and held every week.

The Dameron Center provides a six-week program with full year support thereafter and is staffed by a psychologist.  Services offered include face-to-face counseling, group counseling, supervised medication support (nicotine replacement, Zyban) and web-based support. Program Description:
Patients seen in the VCUHS Smoking Cessation Clinic must be patients of a VCUHS Primary Care Physician.  Program consists of a 2-hour class offered by a pharmacist with 1-hour follow-up classes at regular intervals after quit-date.
Program Services:
Individual and group counseling, relapse prevention counseling for recent quitters; supervised medication support (nicotine replacement or Zyban) and subsidized use of medication (free or low-cost access to medication). Program fees are covered by most major health insurance plans.
Program site is wheelchair accessible and accessible by public transportation.  Services are provided to cigarette smokers with pecial focus on low-income populations.  Languages: English
